The transition to parenthood for me was not as smooth as I hoped or expected. And so much of that was due to my lack of knowledge around sleep the first time around. I prepared myself for birth and breastfeeding, and I tried to educate myself as much as I could on the transition. But I was not prepared for our daughter to fight sleep with every ounce of her being.

Now as the mom of two kids, it is so clear how every child is different, and some may cry a bit more, experience the world more intensely, or may need a little more help and foundation to be able to sleep well.
